5th. To 7th. July. Skegex. Some members will be going to this, perhaps the world’s biggest Meccano Exhibition, held in Embassy Halls, Skegness, Lincol.nshire.
20th. & 21st. July. Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally, Masham, HG4 4NX.
Some members will be exhibiting in the model tent here, hoping to bring back the cup for the model won by Mark Rolston last year. A large number of traction engines and steam rollers usually attend as well as vintage vehicles of all sorts. There will also be a good selection of useful stalls.
l 17th. & 18th. Aug,TIMS Meeting and Exhibition at Blists Hill Victorian Town near Ironbridge
(TF7 5DU). Dressing in Victorian costume is not compulsory.
Thurs. 22 Aug. Hands-On Workshop and Small Exhibition at the Harris Museum, Preston.
Market Square, PR1 2PP.
The Hands-On Workshop will be held in the centre of a room which we think contains an elk. Models will be mainly be displayed on benches around the side of the room.
Entrance is free.
28th. 29th & 30th. Sept. Museum of Liverpool. Pier Head L3 1DG.
The museum is doing an event to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Frank Hornby .
The NWMG will be helping with talks, demonstrations and displays mainly in a large room on the first floor with 2 or 3 Hornby railway layouts and a display of Dinky Toys. There will be Hands-On Workshop operated by the museum staff in a different room.
Elsewhere in the museum, there are Hornby and Meccano exhibits in showcases and more will be brought in from other sites for the occasion.
Entrance is free.
31st. Aug. & 1st. Sept. Old Christ Church, Waterloo nr. Crosby Merseyside.
Our second largest exhibition with many other exhibitors, some of other Binns Road products. Plans are being finalised, but we are not getting as much space as we would have liked, so we may have to restrict the number of tables to one each.
